Great scent on this soap! It lathers nicely and gives that squeaky clean feeling from a more manly soap. The bar is about the size of your typical bar soap from the super market, and it came packaged in plastic. There are small “flecks” of something embedded in the soap, but it’s not a rough exfoliation, more just for texture it seems. It didn’t leave me dry, but not particularly moisturized either.

This is a very nice soap with great ingredients and a wonderfully classic smell. It lathers up well and feel very nice on my skin. The ingredients are simple, partially organic, and no synthetic fragrances or colors. Don't expect a pungent aroma, which I would describe as muted or mild instead. I'm sure the advertised complex scent profile exists, but it's incredibly hard to make out, and doesn't particular distinguish itself from other classic soaps. And that's also what makes it so hard to justify the significant price tag for this 3.7 oz (105 g) bar, which is five or more times that of other natural alternatives.

This soap does the job of cleaning. The soap lathers fine. The wheat? helps to scrub your skin. It lasts about as long as any other bar soap. I guess it moisturizes, but I honestly don't even have dry skin so I'm not the best judge of this. I am not crazy about the scent. Its not bad, but its not good either. To each their own.

This soap is incredibly high quality. It smells amazing and moisturizes my skin while I wash. My skin feels soft and smooth after washing with this soap. It also has a little bit of exfoliating ingredients, as well.The soap comes in a really nice box with an adorable interior. It would make a great gift or stocking stuffer.I am very happy with the quality, scent, and moisturizing properties of this soap.

I wish this soap wasn't labeled as a soap for men, because I am a woman and absolutely love The Bushwhacker Bar Soap. It smells incredible, and leaves my skin feeling smooth and moisturized with coconut and olive oils. The wheat bran makes for a very lightly and gently exfoliating experience. The soap lathers beautifully and the bar actually lasts a long time, which shocks me considering its smaller size. I smell good but don't notice a lingering scent after use, so if you are concerned about any scents after showering this soap does not leave a residual scent. The scent truly reminds me of being in the woods, my favorite place to be, with notes of cedar, pine and balsam. The wild violet and amber also make this soap incredibly pleasant. As a fervent user of clean products, I love this organic soap. I highly recommend this soap and think it is a good value.

This is some really nice soap. Nice solid bar, lathers nicely, cleans well, feels good on the skin, and smells nice. It would be right at home at a spa or luxury hotel or something like that. I love that the ingredients are clean and free of any animal products and that they’re Leaping Bunny certified as cruelty free and vegan, which should be the standard for everything.The downside, however, is the price. Twenty plus bucks is a big ask for a single bar of soap, especially when something like Dr. Bronner’s can be had for a fraction of that price. As much as I liked the soap, I can’t say it’ll be a regular purchase at that price.

This Jackfir soap bar is a good natural ingredients soap bar that lathers well and feels good and clean afterwards. It has little oat bran particles which you can see and feel and it helps exfoliate the skin....also gives a little external skin massage. I like it...5 stars!

This soap smells REALLY nice! It has a woodsy scent with a touch of sweetness that comes through -it's intoxicating. It looks and feels high quality and would make an excellent gift. I’m very happy with it!

I have been looking for a non toxic bar soap option for my husband. I specifically wanted one where the ingredients were natural and the bar had a nice manly scent. This bar soap did just that and exceeds my expectations! Just opening the package up I started to smell the lovely scent and that was the first thing I noticed about the soap. The soap is very pretty looking and you can see the pine needles in the soap. The lather is nice and it does leave your skin feeling very moisturized afterwards. This would be the perfect stocking stuffer!

This Jackfir soap has a nice, suble fresh scent. I wasn't sure if it was targeted for men, because the names 'JackFir' and "Bushwhacker' don't exactly sound like women's products. However, the packaging says this is for everyone, and I thought the scent was refreshing and gender neutral. I liked the packaging, inside the box are cute cartoons of animals taking a bath. On the outside, it has slogans like 'Forest bathing time!' This would be good for the outdoorsy person or as an amenity in a vacation cabin or ski condo. Liked that it has a short list of all organic ingredients. It lathers nice, leaves a clean feeling. The only reason for not giving this 5 stars is the cost of $22 for a small 3.65 oz of soap is too expensive.

I got very excited when I saw this Bushwhacker Bar Soap from JackFir because I have been trying to get the husband to give up his cheap green "celtic" soap for years now. This soap arrives charmingly boxed (with woodland creatures printed inside it), and uses no plastic.The first thing to know about this soap is that it smells fantastic. There is no added perfume, and the scent is coming from ingredients like balsam, cedarwood oil, Ionone and juniper. The scent is more complex than just evergreen, it has a fullness and complexity to it that I find compelling, so I think women could enjoy it also.Which I certainly did, enjoy it that is... this bar of soap makes excellent silky and bubbly lather, and it rinses cleanly without damaging the moisture barrier. After using it my skin felt well hydrated and soft, so much so that I could skip my after-bathing moisturizer if in a time crunch and not feel bad about it. The first ingredient in it is palm oil, the second is coconut oil and the third is olive oil, so this soap is certainly emollient rich. It also contains aloe for soothing and wheat bran for some gentle exfoliation.Most of the botanical ingredients in this soap are certified organic and it contains absolutely nothing potentially harmful or controversial. The brand also contributes a portion of their sales toward planting trees, and I appreciate their efforts. Currently, this bar of soap is selling for $22. That is definitely pricey, but this product warrants it due to how expensive organic ingredients can be to source and how absolutely lovely it smells. I was a little concerned when I saw the size of the bar. It is literally half the size of the bars I have previously purchased. That said, it smells great. It is easily one of the best smelling soaps I have used. I am hoping that the bars lasts longer than typical bars do. If it doesn't, then I would have to say that it's not worth the price. There are soaps that smell just as good but are twice the size for less.

Love the high quality ingredients. Clean and even EWG certified- top of the line ingredients. Smells great, easy on sensitive skin, ultra moisturizing and couldn’t ask for much more in terms of quality. Only downside is the price tag, which seems very expensive for one bar of soap. Definitely a splurge item, but can’t justify buying regularly.

This soap is great. It's natural, organic, smells good and cleans well. It is small and expensive, so not sure if it's a great value, but it does leave skin soft. Due to it's size, it doesn't last as long as I'd prefer, but it does look nice.

Even though it says it's for men, it's for anyone. I'm a woman, and I like the soap. And even though the title mentions coconut and olive oil, the soap doesn't smell like those. The soap smells like the woods after a big winter rain, reminds me of the years I worked at a year-round camp on a forested mountaintop. The soap goes on well, right from the first use, as you can see in my video, and it rinses off well. I've used this soap as my hand-washing soap every day for the past 15 days, and there's just a little sliver left. That's about an average lifespan for a soap bar this size.I only wish they'd remove the "for men" thing. There's no reason that I, and other women, can't use this soap, too.

This does have strong and stereotypically "manly" scent, but it is really just musky and woodsy and anyone could use it. The soap makes a lush and slippery feeling lather that cleans well, but leaves skin feeling like it was moisturized at the same time. It has not caused users any problems with irritation. I love the high quality feel and the natural smell of the fragrance.

At time of review, this is a $22 bar of soap, which is made worse by the fact that it's a small bar, so if looking for a strong value, buy elsewhere. That point aside, however, and it's a lovely soap with excellent certifications, gentle on sensitive and dry skin, lathers well, rinses easily, and doesn't leave a scum, so it's a very good soap. However, that price needs to come down at least by half for it to be competitively priced vs. other soaps that do the same thing for less. Very nice woodsy scent, though.
