Customers said this prebiotic cane sugar with inulin fiber tastes almost identical to regular sugar with no artificial aftertaste. It dissolves well in beverages and bakes perfectly. "Fantastic for keeping my caloric intake down!" Many appreciated the 25% less sugar and added fiber. Some noted it's slightly less sweet and pricey.
- Fantastic for keeping my caloric intake down! It still has all the sweetness of real sugar.
- Real cane sugar! Dissolves well, and I'm getting added fiber. You'd never know.

So impressed! We’re doing our best to cut down our sugar intake. But not yet ready to go cold turkey with my coffee. :)This organic cane sugar it’s hurt as sweet, and helps me on my health journey. So happy a friend recommended Dolca! Love this!
Love this. Sort of healthy sugar. I need to reduce my sugar intake but not a fan of artificial sweeteners. I use this in my dessert soups as well as morning coffee. Glad to have something that fits my needs without having to compromise.
This review is for Prebiotic Cane Sugar – Dolca Slim with Inulin FiberThis sugar is working well for my needs. I'm trying to reduce my sugar intake a bit, and I don't get enough fiber in my diet so this is a win-win for me. I don't like most sugar substitutes because I can't tolerate the aftertaste that many of them leave. This is sugar and it tastes like sugar. I'm using this in my tea and coffee, and it is working very well for me. It tastes just the same as sugar to me. I don't need to us more for the same level of sweetness. The sugar seems a touch coarser than my regular granulated sugar. That's really the only difference I see between this and regular sugar. I'm very happy to have less sugar and more fiber in my diet, and this is an easy choice as an aid to that end. I recommend this.

The bag arrived much larger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I’ve been using it in my morning black tea, and it works beautifully. A heaping teaspoon dissolved within seconds, just like traditional sugar. When I poured it into my glass sugar container, it even looked identical to regular cane sugar. What I appreciate most is the clean ingredient list—just sugar and inulin, with no unnecessary additives.I also tried a small spoonful on its own, and I honestly couldn’t tell if it was any less sweet than pure sugar. So far, I’m very happy with it.
It looks and tastes just like sugar. Ok, maybe it isn't quite as sweet as straight sugar, but the important thing is that there is no weird flavor from the inulin.I've used this in coffee just like sugar and can't tell the difference. But also I'm baking muffins where, importantly, I could reduce the sugar without reducing the needed bulk from the sugar. This inulin is from chicory. I don't know if it makes a difference vs. agave or other sources.
This prebiotic cane sugar blend made with cane sugar from Colombia is a smart take on regular sugar. The taste is similar to sugar, and because of the 1:1 ratio, it goes equally well with coffee, tea, and baked goods. It is composed of 25% inulin fiber, which reduces sugar content and slightly improves digestion at the same time. It's simple with just two ingredients, and there are no artificial sweeteners, so it's wholesome and wholesome. This is a big bag and it is resealable. On the other hand, prebiotic fiber isn't necessarily easy on the stomach. It is also more expensive than regular sugar, so it can be expensive to consume daily. But overall, it's a smart option for people who want to reduce their sugar intake without sacrificing sweetness.
Overall, nice sugar substitute, it's not as sweet as regular sugar which is nice. The bag could use some work though, the zipper seal immediately dethatched upon opening, or perhaps just a manufacturing defect on my bag. I used this to sweeten my dark cocoa, and it helped to make it taste less bitter and a little sweeter. The texture is also pretty close to regular sugar; it almost looks a bit like granular sugar and powdered sugar mixed together. It dissolved very well in my drink too just as regular sugar would.
This sugar is a lot more fine that I was expecting. When I read cane sugar, I was expecting demerara sugar - but this is white granulated sugar. It does taste sweet and I didn't need to add any more that I usually would to get the same taste of sweetness. I'm hoping the extra Inulin Fiber will be useful.I try not to use a lot of sugar, but I can't enjoy tea and hot cocoa without some sweetness. I'll see if this make a difference over time.
My wife is a pre diabetic who has to watch her glucose levels and tends to get headaches and stuff if she doesn't. I wanted to try this on her just to see what it does compared to real sugar and also fake sugar. This one does seem to keep her sugar down compared to real sugar. It does cause a spike but not as bad as pure sugar. I assume this is for someone whose stomach does not agree with the zero sugar alternatives that can cause gassy and such which this does not appear to. Overall it seems like a alternative though if you are diabetic or prediabetic probably should try to avoid sugars completely but guess if you gotta.. always check with your doctor though as our experience may not be your experience.
The Slim blend tastes pretty close to normal sugar. It’s slightly less sweet and has a tiny earthy note from the inulin, but it still works the same in coffee and baking. I like that it’s just cane sugar and inulin with no artificial sweeteners. A nice lighter option if you want to cut back on sugar without changing how you cook or bake. Also, an easy convenient way to get my daily fiber intake.
We loved the final product. It baked as sugar and tasted perfect. I am diabetic and this is is sugar.
Excellent choice little gose a long lasting flavor - able way.
I love it all Natural taste great
This is fantastic for keeping my caloric intake down! I use it just like I would use regular sugar, but it has 35% less calories! It still has all the sweetness and taste of real sugar. I tried using it when I made cookies and it worked great. This goes on my list of things to keep in stock!
Great packaging ,taste good , great price
This is prebiotic cane sugar with inulin fiber. It’s meant to have 25% less sugar, but the same amount of bulk. I had some just by itself and I don’t think it tasted exactly the same as sugar, I could taste a bit of the difference, but I am extremely sensitive to artificial sweeteners. It is a little weird because this doesn’t really count as an artificial sweetener. But I could just taste that something was slightly off, but it wasn’t so distracting as to be inedible. When put into liquid, this did dissolve quickly enough, better in a hot liquid, then a cold liquid. The texture was similar to sugar, but you could tell that it was different. It was a little more irregular.Considering that this has less sugar, you would need more of it to obtain the same amount of sweetness, so the best use for this is a situation where you need the ball and you need the physical space the sugar would take up. Otherwise, you would just use 25% more sugar to get the same flavorsThis is a pretty unique product so it’s a good value for the money if it’s what you need.
Love this! Feels like I am eating a much healthier sugar. Love that it is 25% fiber.
Diabetes runs in my family so the idea of using less sugar whenever possible appeals to me. I hate the aftertaste of artificial sweeteners (I’ve only found 1 that truly tastes just like regular sugar) so when I came across Dolca Slim probiotic cane sugar with insulin fiber powder I thought I’d give this a try. Dolca Slim has a 1:1 usage ratio with 25% less sugar and 17% less calories per serving. I’ve only been using this in my coffee, and I have to say that it does a good job of sweetening my coffee with no weird aftertaste; I use 3 heaping teaspoons of Dolca Slim (the same as I did with pure granulated sugar) in my coffee and I feel it gives the same level of sweetness. If you’re looking for a way to cut some of your sugar intake down without any aftertaste I would recommend Dolca Slim.
I like this product overall. Let's be clear about something, though: it advertises itself like it having 25% less sugar (swapped with inulin fiber) doesn't affect the taste. I don't think this is *quite* true. It still tastes like sugar and has the same texture, yes, but it is... and get this... 25% less sweet. In applications where the sweetness matters, this isn't some magic fix in avoiding 25% of the calories while not noticing a difference. The primary use for this, in my opinion, is places where sweetness is less important than the bulk itself that sugar provides. Pound cake, for example, where you need a ton of sugar to cream and aerate the butter, and trying to use less sugar gives you a flatter cake. This would be *perfect* for that, as the inulin fiber functions the same as sugar in terms of its physical properties and doesn't affect the taste. So the uses for this (that aren't covered by using 25% less sugar) are a bit niche, but if you find one of those uses, this is probably as good as it gets quality-wise. I do enjoy having this in my cabinet for those circumstances.
I didn't notice the inulin fiber powder part when I ordered this and was a little worried that this might not work for me. I use cane sugar in my coffee, so I'm thinking fiber means that it won't dissolve. Nope, it works just fine. As a science experiment I tried dumping a spoon of it into a clear glass and filled it up with 8 ounces of water from the refrigerator. Sugar doesn't dissolve to well into cold water so I figured this was a tough test. After a bit of mixing it all dissolved, nothing left behind. So that's definitely a go for coffee. In coffee it measures out the same as sugar, same sweetness and the taste is within the normal range for cane sugar. If you're just eating a spoon of the stuff then it tastes a bit different, and has a much finer texture than regular straight cane sugar, but well don't just eat sugar by the spoonful.
I am always looking for ways to increase my daily fiber intake, and this product seemed like an easy and convenient way to do so.I mix this in with my morning coffee and it dissolves completely without any grittiness or settling on the bottom of my cup. I was pleased to find that I really can't notice any difference between the taste of this and the taste of regular table sugar. This sugar with inulin fiber powder doesn't have any weird aftertaste and hasn't caused any stomach upset or bloating either. I also appreciate that this product doesn't add any artificial sweeteners to it.The pouch seals well and doesn't spill out. I appreciate that the pouch is resealable as well, to help keep the product fresh.Overall, I am very pleased with this product and have found it to be a very convenient (and tasty) way to increase my daily fiber intake. I feel this is a good value for the money and I wouldn't hesitate to order more.
This is sugar with some fiber mixed in. I like it because it isn’t an artificial sweetener. It has the same taste as regular white sugar. If you put this in a sugar bowl I think you would be hard pressed to tell the difference. The crystals of this sugar are a bit larger and more irregular than my regular white sugar. That may give it away to someone looking very closely. The fiber comes from inulin which is a common form of added fiber in food products. The fiber helps to fill your stomach and can help you feel fuller longer. My wife used to “hide” vegetables in our kids less healthy snacks .., puréed carrots in boxed Mac and cheese or black beans in brownies. This is sort of the same concept. A teaspoon of this is lower calorie than a teaspoon of sugar and has the added benefit of giving you just a little more fiber in your die. It. doesn’t make it healthy but it is a healthier option. This comes in a thick, ziploc style, resealable plastic bad (in case you don’t have a sugar bowl big enough for the whole amount). Overall, I am very happy with this product.
Tastes like sugar, which is good. I really don't notice any difference between this and the standard cane sugar we have so it's a great way to add a little more fiber to your diet. No weird aftertaste and no noticeable difference when using it to cook or in coffee. I like the idea a lot and no issues in practice either. Use a little less sugar add a little more fiber, win win.
This sugar is exactly what I needed. Something that will make food taste good while giving me the fiber I need. Overall I agree that it tastes like normal sugar, you can barely tell it's been changed to have some added fiber but not much.I think this sugar is good value for your money if you are looking at healthier items
