Wow, my hair is in heaven. What a great product, the hair feels soft, textured, thick and healthy at the same time, restyling the hair with this is so convenient. Have fine hair and this is the best hair creampomade I ever have tried. Had this on blow-dried hair and it has natural shine. I love it, will never buy another product again, tried so many other brands, other products like clay, gels, vax etc, but I have finally the right product for me :)

I've been using this pomade for 2 years now. So happy I came across gray ghost after sampling so many brands and creating a pomade graveyard in my bathroom. I love this one when you open it it hits you with a creamy, citrus, botanical smell. The texture is nice too if its too thick just add a little water. It washes out easy and it's vegan. I have very thick hair which I like to wear in a slick back, this is definitely the one for me!

I love Shear Revival hair products and have been using their Northern Lights cream/paste for years! This pomade is fantastic and doesn’t give a greasy look, but a strong hold.

Absolut tolle Pomade, aber leider etwas schwierig zu verarbeiten und der duft ist auch nicht so meins, aber das ist Geschmackssache.

Second product I’ve bought from shear revival so I will compare it with their Northern Lights (which I liked too). This is a great pomade with solid hold and great scent. I will say the hold on northern lights is actually stronger than gray ghost, but this feels a lot more creamy than the clay like Northern lights. If you have shorter hair and want a more firm hold, go northern lights. Gray ghost is great for mid-length hair and is easy to restyle. Clean ingredients and washes out easily. Would compare this similar to the layrite matte pomade. Scent reminds me of a yoga studio (think palo santo and lavender). Highly recommend.

Die Gray Ghost gehört zu meinen absoluten Lieblingen und den Stylingcreams/Pomaden.Sehr einfache Verarbeitung, natürliche Inhaltsstoffe, leichte Auswaschbarkeit.Einfach eine rundum gelungene Stylingcreme.Wer Probleme beim Auswaschen von Pomaden und Co. hat, sollte vielleicht mal Aleppo-Seife ausprobieren. Kostet nicht viel und funktioniert super.

99% natural material, smells good, strong hold.

This is a bit of a strange product for me this one is.The first time I used it I thought I'd found the perfect product. It was very easy to scoop out and when you first apply it (dry hair for me) feels very tacky with an incredible hold and great control. However, after 15-30 minutes the initial hold fades and you're left with a much softer feeling product in the hair, albeit still with decent enough hold but hair does drop. Can't work out if I like this or not. Finish is nice, not waxy feeling and feels quite light in the hair. Very easy to re-work and can be used as a pre styler. Easy to wash out but makes hair feel a little dry.Overall I think this is a 4* solid product, and I believe it's vegan which is great - but it wasn't reliable enough for me. Had some very good hair days but equally pretty average ones.Would I buy again? Maybe, but I'd equally like to try some others that claim to offer similar performance.Compared to something like Reuzel Extreme Hold, I would say this is a superior product in every way other than the hold. Reuzel is a much stronger holding product but GG wins in every other area and feels like a higher quality product overall.

It's not too bad. Recommended from my cousin. I like how it works on dry hair, but after 1-2 hours, my hair fell. It may be because my hair is thin. If you have thin hair, and you're trying to add more volume to your look, you need to blow dry it first and then do it little by little. The style is matte with no water. Easy to wash out.

My boyfriend loves this product and uses it daily for his wavy hair. He is probably on his 20th jar by now with how much he loves it. Smells great and leaves a nice finish in the hair

Excellent product. Low shine and strong hold, but not too strong. Your hair will stay in place without feeling stiff as board. No issues washing product out. Would say mild to almost no scent. Only need to apply a little. Switch off between this and shear revival crystal lake. Used to use American crew forming cream, but not a fan anymore given the inconsistency.

What it says in the description is really true, been using this product in a month now and I loved it!

I have tried several types and brands of pomade. This is the best of the bunch for my needs. I have straight, average thickness hair and wear a slick back style. Grey Ghost holds all day long and has a nice citrus scent for a few minutes after application. I use a dime sized amount with a few drops of water in my palms before I emulsify. It works well rubbed into towel dried hair and then styled with a brush or fingers.

I’ve tried it on both towel-dried and blow-dried hair, and it consistently delivers impressive results. It offers excellent hold with a natural-looking sheen that isn’t too shiny or matte.The fragrance, while subtle and woody, wasn’t a standout for me—it leans more toward blending into the background rather than making a statement. That said, it doesn’t linger too strongly, so it won’t interfere with other scents you wear.At nearly half the price of my usual go-to paste, this is a clear winner. Shear Revival has officially earned a spot in my hair care lineup!

It holds perfectly and does not leave greasiness. It’s a little hard to scoop it out and leaves hair a little dry. I would prefer it to give a little shininess to my hair. A great product anyways. Would definitely keep this one and probably another one that gives a little shininess in my hair products arsenal.

I have thick, coarse, and stubborn hair. I've experimented with various pomades, always running into the same issues: too gel-like, leaving me with helmet hair, or too waxy, making it a nightmare to wash out. Living in a hot, humid climate for half the year only made it tougher to find a product that held up.Then I found Gray Ghost. This blend of water-based and oil-based pomades is a game changer. While it's not as strong as gel, it provides impressive volume and hold, keeping my hair in place throughout the day and allowing me to easily comb it back. It washes out with shampoo and conditioner, but even a water rinse leaves a manageable build-up for effortless styling the next day (and beyond). Even better: it acts like a conditioner, leaving my hair feeling great. It's a strong hold without feeling either greasy or crunchy.Gray Ghost definitely took some getting used-to, but after a few days of experimenting, this has shot up to the top of my list of pomades.

I was previously using their Northern Lights paste and really enjoyed it. This one is even better. It’s a bit shinier, but the hold is stronger and the texture is easier to work with. Smells great too!

First time trying this one, Really like the smell and hold on this but it's just awful to easily wash out of your hair. It gets sticky and requires 2-3 rounds of shampoo to get out, which isn't healthy for hair (even then it feels like some is left behind).

I've tried literally dozens of hair pomades. I used to order a new pomade product every time I ran out of my last jar, so I've bounced between multiple brands ranging between the entire price bracket. It started with Murray's, which you can easily get for under $10 at a CVS, and then I moved on to American Crew, then finally into the world of Arcadian Clay, Shear Revival, Brosh, and so much more.Between all of the brands and products, Shear Revival's Gray Ghost stands above the rest. Once you've tried tons of products like me, you'll start listing out your pluses and minuses.For me, the "perfect" pomade doesn't exist, but this one gets you very close.-Scooping the product out is extremely easy. It doesn't get stuck in your fingernails like other STIFF products.-Washing the product OUT of your hands is fairly easy too. It's not as easy as washing lotion off your hands, but it's more like when butter hardens in a cold temperature, and melts away with warm temps. Once you use warm water it'll rub right off. I cannot tell you how many times I've run into an amazing product that took ages to wash off my hands.-Running the product through your hair is "almost" effortless. It's a thicker product for sure and you really need to make sure your emulsify the clay in your hands before applying. Rub your hands together hard enough that you can feel like you're making a fire in your hands, and ensure your hands are evenly coated.-The scent is where the product may fall a bit. If you've smelled their original Shear Revival Crystal Lake, you'll know what I'm talking about. Crystal Lake was like if a professional candle maker made a hair product, with distinct notes of citrus and herbs unlike any other product. Gray Ghost is extremely neutral, I don't even think it has a scent. This is actually a plus though because I'd rather have NO scent than a BAD scent. But just wished it was Crystal Lake level.-The product washes OUT of your hair fairly easily. If you just use straight up water (for buildup), you may experience some resistance. Shampoo gets it out just as easily as anything else, so no worries on that end for me.-The product lasts all day in my hair, and I have thick and long Asian hair.-The jar is 3.4oz (96g) which is near the maximum limit (100g) for TSA liquids. That means you're able to take this on the plane at the highest possible amount they allow! That is AMAZING and thought out.Again, this product single handedly stopped me from trying other brands. Shear Revival checks most boxes and I can rely on it in any occasion, including my own wedding day some day.

I have been looking for a more holistic hair pomade/clay for years, and most of the "organic" or "natural" pomades I have used just flat out dont work. Shear revivals Gray Ghost not only works, but works BETTER than all of the artificial products I have tried and used, and I have gone through many different brands. Feels good to also use a product that is actually good for the scalp/hair.
