What Makes APOTHEKE Special To Us
Founder Chrissy Fichte began APOTHEKE Co in her Brooklyn kitchen—experimenting with soaps and scent until her creations became full-fledged. She opened the studio in Brooklyn in 2012 and has stayed true to handmade quality, thoughtfully sourced materials and the belief that “simplicity is the ultimate expression of luxury.” We love APOTHEKE Co because it exemplifies American craftsmanship with soul: one maker turning fragrance into an experience, rooted in place and made to last.

FAQs
What is the best way to care for my Apotheke candle?
THE FIRST BURN IS IMPORTANT
Always light your candle on a flat, fireproof surface and never leave it unattended. The first time you light your candle, let it burn until the melted pool of wax reaches the edge of the glass. This will help it perform optimally every time you light it.
BURN SMART
Always burn your candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, and do not burn for more than 3-4 hours. Wait until the wax fully solidifies before relighting to preserve the fragrance.
TRIM YOUR WICKS
Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" for an ideal, clean burn, and keep wick trimmings out of the wax.
KNOW WHEN TO QUIT
When your candle gets down to 1/2" of wax, it's time to let it go.
Are all apotheke products scented with essential oils?
All of our skin products are scented and only use natural, plant based ingredients. Our candles are made of a soy wax blend and perfume grade fragrance oils for strong, long lasting fragrance. Our reed diffusers also have fragrance oils in them - that's what allows them to transfer fragrance into your space.
Are these products suitable for gifting?
Yes—APOTHEKE Co’s aesthetic, quality and heritage make their items excellent gifts for housewarmings, self-care rituals, design-forward homes and fragrance lovers.
How does the brand approach ingredients and sourcing?
The brand emphasizes clean, well-sourced materials: natural essential oils, sustainable sourcing practices, up-cycling, and transparency around fragrance formulation.
Where is APOTHEKE made?
All fragrance goods are designed and manufactured in Brooklyn, New York, in the APOTHEKE Co studio where the maker controls every detail.
