Postpartum Herbal Bath – Gentle Botanical Soak for Mom and Baby (8 oz)

This is my third purchase of Birth Song herbal bath soak. I have used it to help heal after each pregnancy I have had by simply drawing a bath and filling up the included sachet with the herbs. It helps with the healing of any lacerations or episiotomies caused during childbirth.

I purchased this product through my local natural baby store and have only used it once for a sort of hybrid sitz bath in my regular bathtub. I didn’t follow directions to a T by boiling water for it to steep in first before adding to bath. I first filled the tub with only hot water as hot as my faucet would allow to about 3 inches deep, then used about a third of the bag and put it in the included satchet/“tea” bag directly into the bathtub. I then let it steep a bit by swirling the bag all around for a few minutes. By the time I was ready to get in and felt like I had gotten the bath nice and tea-like, it had cooled enough for me to sit in. I soaked for about 30 minutes (adding a little more hot water a couple times as the water temp cooled) with a few candles lit, the lights off, and my bathroom’s heater on, and I honestly felt like a new woman after. I did this 3 days postpartum after a natural, vaginal delivery with a few stitches. I commented to my husband and a few close friends that I felt like my swelling and soreness was surprisingly minimal so soon after delivery compared to my previous child’s delivery. I obviously can’t say for sure how much this product had to do with it, but I plan to do a couple more of these baths if anything for the therapeutic aromas and relaxation it provided. And I highly recommend it as a gift for any new mothers. I’m glad I gifted it to myself anyway! :)

I've used this for two postpartum recoveries, and I'm certain that it speeds healing and lessens discomfort. Also, it helps with umbilical cord drying and healing. I know that doctors and online forums say to not get the umbilical stump wet, but I've let both babies soak in this postpartum bath with me from birth and the days following, and have had great results with cord healing. I also suggest the Cord Care powder by this same company.

This product is amazing. Using this for 5 days made my postpartum healing 10xs better and quicker. Just bought again for another postpartum journey because I loved it so much. Not to hard to steep and use. Relaxing way to start postpartum

Honestly I wish my mom brain would have remembered I had this right after giving birth but it took 1 week and I found it and it truly saved me! I had a traumatic birth and this helped me way more than the epsom salt sitz baths. I just combined them and it was an amazing tea bath for my lady bits not to mention my roids! If you are worried about the price like I was, it's worth every penny! Have bought 3 times since and will be in every new moms care package moving forward! Only complaint is I wish this was sold in bulk lol

I used this on my second day of recovery and WOW, I immediately felt relief and had no more pain afterward. I previously used all of the hospital recommended items and was in pain from the spray etc to the point where I could barely walk. So half for quality products like these that are clean and so healing to the body.

I purchased 4 bags of this to use after I had my baby but I only ended up using 2. I healed unbelievably fast and at no expense to the quality of healing. I was in surgery for an hour after delivery as they tried to stitch everything back together and I had to get a suture check at 4 weeks. When I went for my check up the dr was shocked at how well I had healed and said it was “surprising”. This is in contrast to the 6 MONTHS it took me to heal after my first delivery. I had third degree tearing with both of them but the tearing was significantly worse with the second yet this stuff helped me heal like it was nothing.

I gave birth three weeks ago at home, all natural, so needless to say I've had a lot of healing to do. I use this tea in my sitz bath and also my peri bottle.From this one bag, I've had about four batches of sitz baths with extra for the bottle, and at least one more left. I feel like its helped my healing come along faster, and is definitely self care that I look forward to once a week or more!

This herb bath was very soothing! I had a midwife assisted home birth and was able to have a bath soon after my son was born with him on my legs and we both relaxed and got clean. I was able to take 3 more baths after the initial one and it was super relaxing. The smell is nice and it’s super easy to prepare.

I love Birthsong Botanicals. The herb sitz bath is vital for healing after childbirth. I used it many times to relax and soothe. I was not prepared right after delivering my son and so did not have this until about two weeks after his birth. It still worked wonders.I used this herb sitz bath with Motherlove sitz bath spray and I healed up quickly. I trust this company as they use high quality and organic ingredients. I have bought several bags and gifted to friends who were getting ready to have their babies. Highly recommend.

This is a great product that got me through the first couple weeks postpartum. I would do sitz baths about 3x a week using these herbs steeped in warm water. I had a 3rd degree tear and was in a lot of discomfort those early days but this was very healing and feel that it helped with my speedy recovery.

I bought this to use postpartum. The scent is very earthy and it comes with a satchel to put the herbs in. There is only a little bit of product in it so use it sparingly.

Smells nice and I like my water hot so I just threw the bag in the tub and squeezed it a few times. It's relaxing and seemed to help

I can't wait to be able to use this product postnatal, I have only 2 more weeks.

Healing herbs for postpartum. We’d says it’s very soothing and is helping with healing. Once baby was ready; my wife and baby bathed together. They are really enjoying it!
