Such an amazing product, I have been using it for over a year now! I love the strong hold it has on my hair, while keeping the matte look, and not the wet greasy look. Less is more with Northern Lights, not needing a ton to keep your hair looking solid all day long. Highly recommend this product as well as everything else that Shear Revival makes, as the quality is unmatched by anyone else.

It’s not bad just not for my hair

After years of trying different clays and pomades, I finally found what works best for me and my hair type. Using the Northern Lights by itself is really nice but my hair is on the dry side, so I mix it 50/50 with sun bum surf paste which is very hydrating and this is my holy grail of styling products. Strong hold with a small amount of hydration and my hair looks the best it ever has. The smell is just amazing, it's easy to take some out of the jar, and very easily washes out with shampoo every day. Best of all it doesn't damage or dry out my hair. I actually found this from chatGPT when I had it analyze the ingredients of 3 other styling clays I used because my hair was getting damaged. It recommend this one because of the quality and healthy ingredients and it was not wrong! Can't recommend this enough. Best ever.

Great product, no need to use more than a small dime size application

This is my go to matte hairstyling product. It holds for easily 10hrs if you don’t sweat, get your hair wet or repeatedly put your hands through your hair. I have fine hair that is short-medium in length and it holds my hair well and give decent volume without making my hair look shiny or leaves any flakes from the residue. It is a bit sticky when initially applying it, so make sure you disperse it evenly and warm it up in your hands. I do notice it takes a few hairs out every time I apply it, so don’t be too rough.

This pomade works well for everyday styling. I find the hold medium, which is perfect for creating textured, tousled looks without feeling stiff or crunchy. It’s easy to scoop and apply, and it doesn’t stick to my palms, making styling mess-free.The matte finish looks natural, and the citrus and sage scent is pleasant without being overpowering. It washes out easily thanks to the water-based formula, and the travel-friendly jar is convenient to carry around. Overall, it does a decent job keeping hair in place while looking effortless.

Only been using Shear Revival Northern Lights for about a month, and it's already my favorite hair styling product I've ever used. Previously I tried Hanz De Fuko's Claymation, but never liked it all that much, it was a little too hard, and left specks in the hair. Northern Lights is much easier to apply, holds just as well if not better. You also get 3.4 oz with Northern Lights, and only 2oz with Claymation/many other hair styling products, so this is economical as well as being an A+ product. I am a bit sensitive to scents/smells, but I love the subtle smell of Northern Lights. It's a subtle pleasant lemony kind of scent. Definitely helps with volume and leaves my hair feeling healthy, I don't even feel the need to wash it out at the end of the day (depends on how much you use, perhaps). I'm very happy with this, and I think I'll keep using Northern Lights for the rest of my life as long as it's still available.

My husband’s favorite pomade

A little goes a long way on shorter hair. The smell is unique (in a good way), blending a light citrus with sage as opposed to the layrite sweet smell or the suavecito “barbershop” smell (both of which I like too). Hold is stronger than I expected and lasts all day. Great matte pomade and will likely last a long while.

This matte paste works with my hair type, which is fine and silky, requiring texturizing. It has good hold and produces a lot of good volume for my hair type. It won't have the strongest hold if the weather is very humid/windy, but in general it has good hold. There finish is a matte and not shiny appearance. Easy to apply, but you need to gently rub it in the palms first. The product was as described and the transaction was smooth.

I searched all over and tried over a dozen different products to find a good paste that holds and has a dry finish. Finally found it with the Northern Lights. I’ve been using this for over a year now.

I have tried quite a few different products and this is among the best. Washes out easily, provides excellent all day support, isn't sticky or messy in the hair, and holds very well.

Very solid. It holds firm and doesn’t smell nasty or have any extra chemicals that are not necessary.I really wish that you guys would put the hold strength and shine online because I didn’t even realize that came on the bottle. That would be super helpful when it comes to picking out which one buy next.

The price is fair compared to the size of the jar. It provides enough hold to "tame" hair without making it all stiff and crusty like some other products. It loses its hold throughout the day in a way that I personally prefer, since I don't like to go to bed feeling like my hair is full of product. It's not greasy at all, doesn't add any additional shine to your hair, but will not dull any natural shine you already have. Scent is pleasant.

I love this product, and I've been searching for a long time. I've tried paul mitchell, hanz de fuko, jack henry, and lots of other top tier brands, and none compare to Shear Revival. I have fine to medium hair, and this product offers solid hold with a natural, matte look. It will shift throughout the day, particularly since it is formulated with natural botanical ingredients, but what I love is that you can restyle it at any time and it will regain hold and style. With other products, like Paul Mitchell's clay, it is so thick and sticky that you can barely style your hair in the first place. I've also found that if I don't shower immediately the day after, I can throw a little more product in and restyle my hair without having to rinse it, which is a big plus. I'll sometimes have some morning meetings before getting a workout it, and it's nice to be able to quickly get my hair looking presentable without having to rinse, dry, restyle, etc. The classy glass jar doesn't hurt either. If you're on the fence, I'd say this product is worth giving a shot!

One of the best pastes I've used. Lightweight, great hold and texture, and smells nice. Very easy to wash out, yet stays in your hair throughout the day.

This is pretty strong and also very light weight, so a small amount is great for hair that is easily weighed down. It also gives a nice "just got out of the shower" sheen for hours.My hair can go pretty limp with this in damp weather, but oh boy does it do wonders and give volume in arid weather after a light blow dry.
