Definitely an acquired taste. Not a good taste either... a bit peppery, bitter and weird. I tried to take it for a week using an approximation of the recommended measurement of a teaspoons worth. I mixed into orange juice and could taste it through the juice. The aftertaste lasted about 5 min. Alternatively, my wife liked using it on her hands and neck area. She had some flakey skin in those areas and almost immediately this helped reverse whatever skin issue she was having. She said it stayed moist for awhile and she only applied a few pumps and thoroughly rubbed it in her skin. She found that it was much better to mix with coconut oil to use on her skin with this mixed in. It comes in a dark glass bottle which is good for keeping potency and the quality is organic and only one ingredient.

The bottle itself is very nice, glass with a cap for the pump. I have a son with bad eczema and allergies and this mixed w his normal lotion seems to help shrink the bumps. My son was very happy about that. I have also just put in in his bath water and he was not happy with the way it smelled. It is a strong smell, my son said “it smells like bug spray” and I can’t argue with him there.The bottle says 10 pumps a day which seems excessive I put ten pumps in the bath water and it seemed to be enough for that. I did not try to eat it because of the smell though.So I took one star away because of the smell. Other then that I now have another option for my sons eczema other than steroids.

I certainly want to improve my digestive issues and I do have severe information that causes chronic pain so I'm always looking for ways to reduce inflammation. Also i gain my weight in my gut and have had some hair thinning over the years. On the bottle it says that this organic cold pressed black seed oil can help with these issues. The listing description says it comes in a violent glass, I can't really see that but it is a very dark glass that protects the oil. It's difficult for me to handle taste wise, it does taste quite a bit like oregano oil which to me is quite unpleasant to say the least. I did discover today that instead of trying to take it plain and go with a chaser, I put it on a salty whole grain Club cracker. The salt was able to counteract a lot of the taste and then I just ate some other food right after. I don't think I would want to use this oil in cooking a dish or to put on a salad. I'm looking forward to the health benefits of this oil and I'm very fortunate that I'm able to try such an expensive high quality product. I like the bottle, it's very attractive, the Scarab on the back is pretty.

I’m new to black seed oil, and was struck by its unique and pungent smell. It sort of smells like pine, or eucalyptus almost. Something earthy and piney. I like it, but wasn’t expecting that. I am mostly interested in the topical uses for skin, and so far so good. It’s a bit balmier than an argan oil or raspberry seed oil, which tends to be thinner and soaks up quickly for me, but less so than a walnut or castor oil that sits on top of your skin a bit more as it works its magic. Biggest takeaway though is be prepared for that strong smell.

I looked at the benefits of Black Seed Oil and decided to give it a try. I was concerned due to not being familiar with the taste and some saying they don't like it. When i tasted Meraki Black Seed Oil in a spoon, to me it tasted like olive oil with some spices added for bread dipping, so I had no problem taking the 10 recommended pumps. I will have to report back on the personal benefits to me after using it for a few weeks. it can also be used topically, so I will try that as well.

I truly wish I took some before and after pictures of my hair through my time using this oil. At first I requested this product mainly for my hair loss in the front of my head, I read more about black seed oil and I gave this product a shot. The value didn't seem great at first but after using it and realizing how many uses you can get per bottle, it turns out to be an amazing value. One thing that I fear from these oils is the smell, but this product hardly smells after the initial rub in, by the time I dress and get to work the smell is gone to me. The quality of the oil and the bottle seems to be very high, the oil viscosity is perfect and the thickness of the bottle feels like it can drop and not be broken (glass), even the pump is above average with a relockable cap, all of this making it easy to use although sometimes my hands get too oily to safely hold the bottle.I personally haven't and wouldn't eat with this oil even though the ad suggests using it in salads etc. so I wouldn't have any opinion on the taste of this product whether it's bold, sour, or bitter, solely because I view it as a hair product.Overall I am happy with my healthy hair, my front patch of my hair is growing thicker and more fuller after consistent use everyday after a shower. I started my journey 2 months ago and started to notice a difference within the first month.

Used this for my daughter and her dry skin. This works on par with any other oil you might use for dry skin. The smell is earthy and mild and wears off pretty quickly so it won’t clash with your perfume. A little oil goes a long way as you can see in the video. It absorbs quickly and does not leave a residue. I would buy again.

The taste isn't as offensive as some reviewers believe, I actually kinda like it. 10 pumps per day can be divided into smaller doses if it is difficult for you to take by mouth. I like the feel on my skin, too.

I'm always interested in natural remedies and hadn't heard of or tried Organic Black Seed Oil. One reviewer wrote that it had a slight bitter/peppery taste. I like arugula & dandelion so I thought I would give this a try.The contents are in a substantial feeling, dark colored, pump bottle, to keep out light and preserve the oils properties. The pump is easy to use, just turn it slightly to engage it and return it to it's original position to lock it. It's such a nice and efficient pump bottle that I'll be repurposing it once I've used up the original contents.Now to the Black Seed Oil. It does smell a bit peppery and there was something else I had a little difficulty pinpointing. I tasted a small amount and it instantly came to me, eucalyptus! I like the aroma of eucalyptus however the taste of it is another thing altogether. With it being mixed with a peppercorn flavored pepper it was quite unusual. I've tasted more disagreeable things, so this wasn't the worst but it certainly isn't something I would call enjoyable. It also leaves a slight aftertaste when I consumed a teaspoon amount of it. I drank some iced tea w/lemon and the aftertaste disappeared immediately. I don't think mixing this with olive oil & vinegar and using it as a dressing would improve things.I did pump a small amount onto my hand and distributed it over them and my arms as I would a lotion. It was fairly light, absorbed quickly, much quicker than olive oil and the scent faded not long after. It's a moisturizing oil that lasts a long time. I'm glad it states that it can be used topically, because I don't know if I can get used to the flavor. I do use a lot of moisturizers. Hands, arms, neck, face and regions below, so I'll keep it for that. I might try using it as a deep conditioner and see how that works.This appears to be a high quality, well made product and fresh. However, the taste is not my favorite.

I’ve been using this black seed oil for a little while now and haven’t noticed much of a difference so far. When I use it in cooking, it tastes pretty similar to olive oil once I’ve added all my usual seasonings, which makes it easy to incorporate into meals.I haven’t tried it for topical use yet—I'm a big fan of castor oil for that, so I’m not sure if I’ll make the switch. The oil itself comes in a nice dark-tinted glass bottle, which is great for preserving freshness, and overall it seems like a good quality product, just nothing dramatic for me personally (yet).
