If you look closely into their video of application the guy hardly applies ANY product. You're not going to get full protection that way I live in the desert and that's not the realistic way of applying sunscreen out here. I applied it just a little more and my whole face is white for HOURS. ANYWAYS, I appreciate the simplicity and effectiveness of the product however I don't appreciate the dishonesty on the white cast FAKE NEWS. IF IT'S THAT EASY TO LIE ABOUT THAT WHAT OTHER THINGS ARE THEY LYING ABOUT? FOR THAT I'M GIVING YOU FOUR STARS

Great product! Especially for those with sensitive skin, and it leaves a slight white hue on your face after applying but it gets absorbed after about 5 minutes. The smell is slightly coconut-y which I love, and will be using this year round!

Love the texture! Used it on both my toddler and I before going out in the sun! Works great! 🤗

I like the consistency for the sunscreen so I like having this to put in a bag without worrying about it leaking everywhere. So far so good on keeping away burn as well!

This tallow-based sunscreen is pretty good. I had the opportunity to try it out twice now, most recently during a long outdoor trip out in the open sun on a hot summer day for an extended period of time. It was to a waterpark but I didn’t get my face too too wet, but the sunscreen still seems to have stuck. I have pale skin that is very prone to burning, so I am very happy it worked for me. I have been home for about 3 hours now and no burn has developed, although my freckles have darkened, but that could have been because of some of it being washed off, since this product says it’s not waterproof.I do wish the jar stated that the SPF is 35, I had no idea of the SPF until I went back to the product listing to check.It only has 4 ingredients which is amazing for those looking for clean beauty products!It is not greasy or sticky. It does have the typical white shade that happens when you use zinc oxide based sunscreens. Lots of rubbing-in helps it disperse. And a little goes a long way don’t make the mistake of using too much.I’m not a huge fan of coconut scented stuff but if you are you will like this. It’s a natural scent, smells exactly like coconut oil, so I do believe that’s a real ingredient in this (because I’m always paranoid about beauty products from unknown brands). In any case I’m at least happy it has no beefy/meaty/buttery smell, I was very apprehensive about using a tallow based item for that reason. I hate the smell of meat and overly buttery or fatty smells make me queasy, this does not give any hints of having tallow in it.

The packaging is cute - a nicely designed label and a nice brown tinted glass jar - but it is teeny tiny. I was surprised by how small it is.It smells really nice and the scent is subtle. It smells like a creamy honey-vanilla. I was surprised by well it absorbed into the skin. I was expecting it to be greasy and heavy, considering it's beef tallow and zinc, but it actually sunk in really nicely, like a lotion.Efficacy seems very good. Overall, it seems very high quality for a tallow sunscreen. It seems ideal for lightweight daily activities, such as driving/grocery shopping. For anything where you get active or sweaty I'd use something waterproof instead.

I love how natural this is, no chemicals, no fillers, just the best! Very healing to the skin. Blends in easily, feels moisturizing and didn't pill under makeup. Unscented but smells nice and soft like coconut oil. The day I put this on, I spent a good 5 hours outside in the sun and went swimming. The only thing that I didn't like was that it felt somewhat heavy on the face and made me sweat more? That did subside after an hour but this is usually how ALL mineral sunscreens are. It creates a physical barrier from the sun and also pollution and blue light! Chemical sunscreens do NOT do that!

This is an all natural sun-protectant and as such, pretty great and overall I like using it around the garden.- Clearly listed and simple ingredient list making it a good choice for my grandkids too.- NOT sweat or water proof so needing to reapply on hot days.- High zinc oxide content - goes on very white and rubs in to a faint white.- Wouldn't exactly call it non-greasy, but the balm does leave my skin super soft.It's only just over half full, but weighs in correctly, so the jar is just oversized.It does feel like a pretty hefty price for barely 2 oz so get it for the outstanding ingredients and use sparingly.

The tallow is very thick. Thicker than I’m used to. It’s solid and needs to be “massaged” to get it to melt to apply. Maybe a little too thick for me. It is very white takes a little too much to rub it in. It has no scent which is ok by me. Leaves a little film on my skin in some places despite rubbing it in. Other places on my skin are OK and it does hydrate a bit. Overall, I don’t think this is for me.

When I first opened the jar, I was taken aback at how white it was, almost chalky looking. I applied a test spot on my arm, and as you can see, it is very white and I was again taken aback. I'm sure this white color is from the zinc. But to my surprise, as I rubbed it in, the white disappeared and my skin felt wonderful. It felt moisturized without a greasy feel. I did not detect any scent. I use under makeup and the applied makeup looked as it usually does. Again, I couldn't really detect a scent. I have normal skin and I had no adverse reactions.This is a very small jar but a little went a long way and I like that it has zinc oxide in it.

This is a really nice, really smooth organic sunscreen. Keep in mind that the zinc oxide is what provides the sun protection, and it's bright white and needs to be rubbed in so you don't have clown face (but it's probably way more effective when it's in the bright white stage). The tallow is nice and spreads decent in the ac, and will probably spread much better on the beach. With the ingredients, I'd feel safe using this on my grandson. My only minor complaint is that the jar was only a little more than 2/3 full. Perhaps it was whipped and settled/melted on the way. There was definitely a thin layer spread up on the sides, so it was moving around in the jar during shipping. But buying things that aren't filled fully is a pet peeve irritation of mine. I'd prefer a smaller jar and to have the sunscreen come up to the top. It's just so wasteful otherwise, and we can hardly afford to be wasteful these days with the state of things. Glass, believe it or not, is a finite resource, and beaches are routinely denuded so that companies can take the sand to make the jars that are too big for the products placed within them.Other than the waste, this is a great natural sunscreen. I plan to use it, thickly layered and brightly white, on my tattoo whenever I go to the beach this year.

I have eczema. I tend to get break outs on my arms during summer. I don't know if it is due to sun exposure or chemicals in the sunscreen. So I am very careful on what sunscreen to use.Tallow and Zinc oxide are well known natural sunscreen. This differs from most commercial grade sunscreens, which are full of chemicals. This is a huge plus for those like me with sensitive skins.Another positive is that this product has a sunblock rating (SPF 35). Some natural sunscreen with tallow and zinc oxide do not spec sunblock rating.However, this Grazly suncreen is quite pricey. As of July 2025, it costs $25 for 1.8 oz. That is pricey.Another potential issue is the scent. Although Grazly market this as unscented, there is a some scent. It smells like food. Scent is quite personal. This scent is not so pleasing to me.

One of the best natural sun blocks on the market, will never use another spray sun screen because of their terrible ingredients! Not too mention, other tallow balms aren’t as effective as a sun screen as this one, Grazly found the perfect balance, highly recommend!!

This stuff is fantastic. It’s exactly as advertised — non-greasy, unscented, and effective. I applied it before mowing in 95-degree Southern heat for two hours with full sun, and not a hint of sunburn. It feels great on the skin and doesn’t leave any heavy or sticky residue. Highly recommend.

When I first opened this, I was shocked by how small the jar was - and at $25?!? BUT… a little bit does go a long way. It isn’t sticky or greasy feeling, and there’s the barest whisper of a smell. Just very natural smelling, like… almost like cheerios or kix cereal, lol.Knocked a star because there is a white cast, as would be expected with zinc. If you’re a very pale tan, it will be ok, but any darker of skin, it will be noticeable. For me it’s just barely, and since I’ll be using it under my makeup, I won’t have any issues.My review scale:5* - There is nothing I would change. The item is exactly as described and was expecting.4* - Pretty much what was expected, slightly off from what was described, such as sizing or color.3* - Middle of the road. There might better choices out there. Probably differences in what was described, or is too pricey. Might have to tweak it a bit for it to be good.2* - Would only be good with major improvements made by the buyer, if possible. Significant differences between what was described and what was delivered.1* - Absolutely not. Does not come close to doing or being what was described, buying the item would be a complete waste of money.

I like that this has no harmful chemicals in this product. I like the add touch of using glass instead of plastic to further reduce the chemical content.

I love the simple ingredients and the use of Zinc Oxide for sun protection. Upon opening the jar, it looks like dried whiteout; However, it is smooth and melts quickly when applying. You do need to work it in a bit to reduce/eliminate any white cast and/or oily appearance. Although it says it is "unscented", it smells like pure coconut oil, so if that is a turn off, I'd advise against this. The scent does dissipate over time, but not completely. Also, a little goes a long way, so start with a small amount. Again, it melts easily, so avoid keeping it in hot spots (over 80 degrees) as it will become liquid and be easier to spill/drip. As you can see in my picture, it leaves a light shine, but not much of a white cast. I only applied it to the middle section of skin in the picture. The shine faded over a short period of time as it absorbed.

This sun balm is incredible. I was hesitant about tallow but it absorbs so well that honestly any white cast will disappear in minutes. The non-nano zinc has this kind of effect and any brand that says doesn't leave any white cast are lying or not using non-nano zinc. I'm on my third jar and I love that the MAG team always sends patriotic freebies on every single order.
