    Anima Mundi works with a native family from the Chiclayo region of Northern Peru who have longstanding ties to Palo Santo’s natural habitat.

    Rather than harvesting living trees, the wood is gathered from naturally fallen trees that have aged on the ground for approximately 3–5 years. This natural aging process allows the wood to develop its characteristic resin-rich aroma. The sourcing practice also includes replanting in the wild.

    Hold the Palo Santo stick at approximately a 45-degree angle, pointing the tip toward a candle, match, or lighter.

    Allow it to burn for approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute, then gently blow out the flame. Let the aromatic smoke move through your space.

    When finished, place the stick in a fire-safe bowl made from metal, glass, or clay and allow the ember to extinguish completely.
