Herbal Baby Powder – Organic Botanical Blend (0.2 oz)

I have used cord care products with 6 out of 9 babies. It works well if applied right. This brand is better in my mind because it doesn’t stain like gold seal stained and that’s a huge benefit because it can get messy when applying and it would get on baby’s clothing, blankets and such and leave behind a yellow stain.ApplyingYou have to apply to base of belly button (Q tip works best to get underneath) and as cord heals and drys it will fall off, the cord care allows the cord to dry much faster rate if applied right. We do a home birth so we apply right away and all over the cord. First time we smoother the cord on top and sides. The top of cord will get harder first and you don’t have to apply it there again. You will want to go around the base of cord and as it hardens little bits of cord will fall off underneath allowing you to gently go more under the stub and towards center of cord. As it dries you will be able to move cord very gently around and get further underneath each time With A q tip and cord care. Never pull and remove cord by force it will dry and come off when ready. We have found that it falls of in the first week if done right and I don’t always do it every diaper change. I probably apply three times a day if I wanted to be more aggressive and do it more it probably would fall of in three days but it just isn’t a big deal to me anymore. I have pictures of my newborn and applying cord care with a q tip very gently around base and under the cord. My finger can move cord a little bit I’m not being forceful at all. If you think of a scab underneath is healing but surface is super hard the same is the umbilical cord you want to get under where it’s moist and apply the herbs to dry it out.

I've used the same jar for two babies and could probably use again. Probably, because the Cord falls off within a few days, and a little goes a long way! It really helps to keep the umbilical stump dry and clean. Great to use with the herb bath that is also made by the same company. Use at every diaper change, and make sure to administer with a clean utensil to keep the jar clean. Would recommend to anyone.

By far the best product for baby belly button. I'll never have a baby without this. Fantastic product

Using alcohol on babies cords is outdated advice, I definitely recommend using this when it gets goopy or funny , it healed my sons stump when it got goopy. I still have most of it leftover because you don’t need a lot, it’s worth the price and a great investment especially if you’re planning to leave the cord and placenta attached after birth I think this would work really well

Used this with both my babies cord fell off within a week

Started using on day 2 and the stump fell off on day 4. No problems with irritation or infection. Don't be afraid to use a lot- the bottle has plenty of product and we had no issues with the excess herbs that fell off staining anything.Will absolutely use again if we have another baby.

Cord fell off on day 5.Never had goo or a smell. My other 3 kids the cord stayed on until day 10.

I purchased this product for a different reason but honestly I ended up using it only once. I can't say that the product was good or bad.

I applied this powder about 3 times a day, and my baby’s cord fell off after 10 days. It’s worth noting, however, my daughter was in the hospital NICU for 4 days before I was able to begin using this product when we went home. So I am satisfied with the outcome overall, as it was 6 days from the first application until the stub was completely dried up and fell off on it’s own.I feel the vial contains enough powder for more than one baby, as it works fairly quickly.I rely on reviews to help me when I’m deciding what products to purchase on Amazon. It really quickened up the healing. The umbilical cord was out the first week and we only put this on a few times! So sweet it prevents infections too! Great product! I'm interested in seeing what else they carry!

Cord fell off in 3 days. It was awesome

Worked perfect on healing our son’s cord and also helps with other “weeping” sores or scabs!

We purchased a bottle of this from our midwife and honestly, we were shocked at how well it worked! We applied to our little guy's umbilical stump at every diaper change, and his cord stump fell off in 6 days! We loved this product so much that we have shared it with our friends, and have also kept some on hand to help with other first aid things at home. I found that this product works surprisingly well to help stop bleeding if you clip your baby's or your pet's nails too short, too! Definitely a must have for your new baby!

cord fell off in a couple days

This product was far superior to the goldenseal-based Cord Care powder. Not only did this smell better, it did not stain clothing like the other commonly-used product can do. My baby's cord stump dried up very easily and fell off with no residual powder left behind inside the stump. Well worth the money, and can be used on other cuts and scratches with older kids, or saved for another newborn!

I used this on both of my children's cords after they were born and got a lot of comments on how fast they dried up and fell off. It was by 3 days with my first and by 4 for my second kiddo. It's much nicer than just cleansing the cord like is normally suggested and helps prevent infection also. And there's no funky smell from the cord either! We also used this in scrapes and minor cuts as well for my husband and I. It works really well for that too, since we had a ton extra after the cord fell off.
