Discover Green Llama, a woman-owned, family-run Tennessee company creating refillable surface cleaners, laundry detergent, dishwasher products, solid dish soap, and whole-home cleaning systems designed to reduce single-use plastic without sacrificing everyday performance.

Green Llama was founded in 2020 by husband-and-wife team Kay Baker and Dr. Matt Keasey. Kay brought her background as a pediatric occupational therapist, while Matt brought years of scientific research and a Ph.D. in Molecular Neuroscience. They began developing formulas in their Johnson City, Tennessee kitchen and garage, eventually launching the first Green Llama products at their local farmers market.

Today, Green Llama makes its core cleaning products in Tennessee, using concentrated powders, tablets, and bars that eliminate the need to ship bottles mostly filled with water. Refill tablets arrive in compostable packaging and pair with reusable glass spray bottles, while the growing collection now covers the kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, and dishwasher.

This isn’t another cleaning brand with a greener-looking bottle.
