OCASA’s tallow creams begin with pasture-raised, grass-fed and grass-finished beef kidney suet sourced from a fourth-generation Northern California ranch. The raw suet is dry-rendered and filtered in-house, then blended with botanical ingredients such as organic jojoba oil, rosehip seed oil, vitamin E, and whole-herb infusions depending on the formula.

OCASA says its tallow is never chemically bleached or deodorized. Its facial tallow creams also contain no added fragrance or essential oils; varieties such as Vanilla, Coffee, Calendula, and Frankincense are created through real botanical infusions rather than added fragrance.

OCASA says its products are fragrance-free, and many formulas are also essential-oil-free. Its Unscented Tallow Cream is specifically positioned for dry and sensitive skin. The brand recommends patch testing any new product, especially for customers with reactive skin or allergies.

OCASA’s own skincare formulas are created and handcrafted by founder Edina Szender in the brand’s Wyoming studio. The broader OCASA apothecary also carries products from other herbalists, farmers, formulators, and small makers, so manufacturing origin should be confirmed at the individual SKU level for those curated products.

OCASA describes its tallow as highly concentrated and recommends using about a pea-sized amount. The brand estimates that a 1 oz jar can last approximately 1–2 months with facial use, while larger jars can last considerably longer depending on use.
