Non-Toxic Self-Tanner

Hands down this is the best smell and feel I have received from a self tanner!! It’s buildable so after the second day of applying I got just the tan I wanted! 5 stars!!!

This is the best self tanner! I’ve tried expensive and cheap tanners only to have streaks, smell and an orange color body! This has a very light, sweet smell while applying but quickly goes away. The tan comes in about 4 or so hours after applying. It’s a very nice, new tan color. Not orange at all! I’m white, my husband says pasty! So it takes a few applications to get a darker tan. Like all self tanners it takes a bit to dry so it feels sticky until then. But that’s all self tanners. I stand in front of a fan and it sets faster. It has a very natural looking color and has some staying power. My husband did not say anything about my self tanning and he always does because of the smell. I like to reapply every day for week to build up and then reapply every 3 days or so if I’m not gonna be in the sun. If I’m the sun and getting color then I apply once a week just to maintain consistency or not at all. Just love that it does not have any smell or any of the bad stuff. I will only buy Elan from now on! Very happy!

I adore this tan, it’s so amazing that it’s non toxic and you don’t have to feel guilty putting it on your skin. I’ve used fake tan pretty much every day for most of my adult life and I even ship this to the UK from America.I’m Irish so naturally very pale, so I do need to apply a few coats to get my desired darker colour. However it’s so buildable it’s easy to do.My absolutely favourite thing is how the tan fades off, no awful patches, no streaky orange bits— honestly I must have tried every brand by now and this fades off like a natural tan.There is no real colour guide when applying and that did worry me at first, but the colour is so natural I’ve not had any noticeable application issues. Absolutely love it and can’t wait for the whole range to be available internationally in Ireland and the UK

UPDATED: I'm changing my tune on this one. I couldn't return it so I decided to give it another try and here's what I discovered. It's better to just use your bare hands and wash them off really well after, use a nail brush. The time I tried I used my hands, not the glove and it looked so much better! I also did 2 coats. So i did a coat, let it dry for a couple minutes and then did a second coat. It's more orange than my natural tan would be (I have olive skin), but it's still really pretty. Also I love that it doesn't smell! In fact, it smells really good and never gets that fake tanner smell. Pro-tip, when I'm done I take a lightly dampened wash cloth and wipe gently around my toes, ankles, knees and elbows.ORIGINAL REVIEW:It's not horrible. First layer is pretty light, thankfully. But it's more orange than I wish it was and it's pretty streaky even though I used a glove and moisturized and exfoliated and everything.

I've used Elan Pure's self tanner twice now, and I'm seriously impressed. The color develops into a beautiful, natural-looking glow—no orange tones or streaks. One of my favorite parts is that the sticky feeling (which some self tanners have) goes away really quickly with this one. It makes the whole process way more comfortable. If you're looking for an easy-to-use, reliable self tanner with great results, I highly recommend giving this one a try!

You don’t need much and one time application is all it took for the boyfriend to say I got some sun. Clean without all the poisons nowadays! Shake well and one pump did my face and neck and backs of my hands. Recommend.

Needed a little color on my blinding white legs. This item's foam spreads evenly and dries fairly quickly. The scent is like vanilla (not the usual self tanner stink). The color is gradual...I noticed a little color after the first use, but after one or two more, it had built up to a nice, natural looking color.

I like that its clean and smells good, but it doesnt give much of a tan and its sticky until you wash it off. It didnt transfer to my sheets which i appreciate. I like to put tanner on before i go to bed and wash it off in the am. Im a little disappointed on how little tan it produces.

I love the smell!!! I didn’t have that tan stink. I also loved how easy it was to apply. Finally a tan that looks natural.

I've tried so many self-tanners over the years, and Elan Pure is in a league of its own. Not only does it give me the most natural glow with no streaks or orange or weird smell, but it also smells wonderful and is non-toxic. I'm so glad there is no red 40, no yellow 5, no synthetic dyes, no sketchy ingredients, just clean and plant-based goodness! I personally have found that I like to apply two layers at night before bed for a deeper tan, but I've also done one quick layer of application in a pinch, which looks beautiful as well. It is very buildable! I also like that it fades gracefully!
