It has soft silky consistency, goes on hair (beard) or skin very easily, and absorbs rather quickly. It makes the hair feel less coarse, and makes the skin feel very smooth. The bay rum smell reminds me of the beach. It could be used by both men and women, but the smell has more earthy notes, not just vanilla. The beard tallow is a nice addition to any man's or even woman's (who like bay rum smell) body care products. It is also very competitively priced at $17.50 per 9 oz. I definitely recommend this product, considering its effectiveness, natural ingredients and very competitive price.

This beard and body butter smells divine, and this is coming from someone who is bothered by most scents! It's more vanilla and coconut than vanilla and tobacco, which is fine by me. The butter has a really nice glide that melts quickly and goes on smooth and silky.Unfortunately the presentation could be better. It comes in a box that is way too big for it. The lotion has a bunch of bubbles at the walls of the transparent jar. It would be better with an opaque package. The jar lid is not of the highest quality and the product had melted onto the lid. There was no safety seal.All in all, this is an amazing craft product that could benefit from some improved packaging. I couldn't bear to take off a star though.Because the lotion was just that good. My boyfriend's going to love it!

Got the Bay Rum scent. It was masculine, but not overpowering. Having purchased other products from this brand of tallow in the past I know how delightfully moisturizing it is - this product absorbs quickly leaving skin soft but not greasy. When the weather is cold and try this is a great defense against cracked hands.This is a good sized container for the price and it will last as you don't need to use a large portion. This would make a great gift for the guy in your life.No garbage chemicals, so you can feel good about putting this on the largest organ on your body (your skin).

I never knew I needed this beard and body butter. I have been using it every day since I got it. I mostly use it on my beard and also use a little on my head. It makes my beard so soft and it also tames it and moisturizes it without making it too shiny, or look too greasy. The same goes for my head. It has a very light pleasant scent so it doesn’t clash with cologne or other products. The texture is like a soft butter or thick whipped cream, and it spreads easy. It doesn’t feel greasy either. I’ve had no irritation at all since using this butter. I’m sure this is great for most textures of hair if not all, but I must say, it works great on ethnic hair. It keeps my beard soft all the time. Good stuff.

This tallow can be applied to beards or skin to moisturize and condition. It feels like whipped butter on my fingers and does not feel too greasy on my skin. The product protects my skin from getting dry and softens my beard. I got the Bay Rum scent which is pleasing, not ovewhelming. I appreciate that the other ingredients in addition to beef tallow are Organic Beeswax, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Shea Butter, Organic Coconut Oil, Vitamin E and that the product is free from: Artificial preservatives, synthetic fragrances, parabens, and harmful chemicals. To be honest, I would never have paid $25 for this but glad that I was able to try it through Amazon Vine.

I've been suing this for over a week and this Bay Rum tallow beard butter is excellent quality. The texture is rich and smooth, basically melts in your hands, and spreads easily without feeling too greasy.The Bay Rum scent is noticeable but not too overpowering, I think I might try the other one's next time though to see what I like more. It absorbs well and keeps my beard soft and conditioned, while also helping with dryness underneath. As my beard is short, this is exactly what I'm looking for since a lot will get on my skin.Overall, this is a top tier beard and body butter. It's a little expensive but a little bit is all it takes. Great scent, great performance, and versatile enough to not just on your beard.

I can't get over how good this smells!The product is super soft, fluffy and airy and goes on fast, absorbs well. The product doesn't leave a greasy feeling at all. It is so moisturizing. The quality, the feel and the scent feels top of the line. I hope they don't change a thing.It didnt take too many uses to feel the difference in the health of some easily irritated skin. It looks and feels great, and checks off the box for being effective and working better than even I expected. Perfect after a shower for sure. Would 100% recommend it and absolutely be buying this in the future. It is so luxurious!

This tobacco vanilla beard + body butter is wonderful!The tallow is whipped which makes it easier to spread and less greasy than some tallow's I have tried, but it still is excellent at moisturizing and hydrating your skin.I was a little worried about the tobacco part of the scent, but generally is a sweet vanilla scent with a bit of muskiness too it. Not overly masculine, a woman could use this as well without feeling like she is wearing her boyfriends cologne.Overall, this tallow body butter is very nice! I really like how easily it is absorbed into the skin and how hydrating it is even after the first use. I don't have a beard, so I cant speak to hair health benefits, but for skin, its wonderful!I feel that the price paid is a good value for the money spent since you don't need a lot of the balm to get a good result.I would buy this again.

I work outside and frequently wash my hands. My fingers and knuckles always get so dry in the winter they will sometimes develop painful cracks. I am always looking for the best product to moisturize and soothe the skin. Watery lotion evaporates too fast and just will not do the job.This whipped tallow has a wonderful texture that is thicker than typical lotion, but not as greasy or heavy as some tallow products. The closest thing I can compare it to is the whipped cream cheese products you can get to put on bagels. It is both light and breathable and yet thick and creamy at the same time. It goes on smoothly and soaks in completely within a few minutes.This tallow leaves my skin super soft and I think it will work well to help with the dry cracks I get in my fingers (and heels and feet). There is a masculine, fresh scent that is not overpowering. It feels like a very premium product and I definitely recommend it if you struggle with dry skin and want a natural product with a wonderful texture.

So I really like the feel and smell of this beard butter. It's got a nice clean tobacco vanilla type scent.....think Tom Ford (iykyk). It's incredibly light and airy....almost hard to describe....like the lightest whipped cream ever. It does seem to keep my beard under control pretty well, but by the end of the day it starts to feel a bit dry. So it may be something you need to apply once before work and another time before going out for the night. I guess I'm used to more waxy/oily type products that really last until they're washed out.The main reason I took away a star though is that my dog who is normally very well trained and behaved loses her mind when she smells this on my beard. She can't stop herself from licking my face which some people are cool with....I am not lol. Love the dog, but no face kisses. So if you are dog-less or your dog doesn't get super into the scent this puts off then it's 5-stars.

I’ve tried a couple of the Lady May tallow butters, and this one is just as excellent. The whipped texture is such a fun bonus. It’s incredibly lightweight and spreads beautifully on my very dry winter skin. I am middle aged and wash my hands a lot, so they are cracked and dry in the winter. My hands and legs already look and feel much smoother and less painful.It does leave a bit of shine for about 20 minutes after application, which I actually love because I can feel how well-conditioned my skin is. My husband has also tried it on his beard a few times and really appreciated how much less itchy it felt. I’m not sure whether it’s softening the beard hair itself or conditioning the skin underneath, but either way, it definitely helps.The scent is really pleasant: more mild and less sweet than the vanilla whipped tallow. It’s still slightly sweeter than my husband prefers, but it leans more toward a clean, shaving-cream-type scent. I also love the glass container: it’s easy to open and has a very nice, professional look.

Got this for my man's birthday - it's so nice! Love the product itself, it does what it's supposed to do, feels luxury. The fragrance is not overpowering, it's just enough and I love the way it smells on him and it moisturizes for long periods without needing to reapply. He loves that it's a pretty clean ingredient product and he doesn't have to worry about chemicals and headaches from the fragrance.
