I first started using tallow a little over a year ago. While I don't use it as a moisturizer (unless I'm having a really rough skin day) I DO use it to soothe burns and help heal chapped skin. You know when you get a cold, and you're blowing your nose so often it ends up getting sore? Tallow is perfect for that. It heals it up overnight for me - So, because of the way I use tallow, one little container like this will last me a very long time, like, I still have my last batch of tallow from a year ago - which also makes the price tag very fairThe scent of this brand is not bad at all. Still slightly beefy, but not bad at allUsually, I roll my eyes at 'whipped' products because I feel like the company is just adding air to the product yadda yadda skimping on product yadda yadda going cheap on the customer - BUT, in this case, I feel like the 'whipped' aspect is a plus. I feel like it helps me not to get too much of the product out at once, if you see what I mean. Tallow is thick stuff anyway, and I always get too much out accidentally. So, I do definitely prefer this whipped variety :3Also, it's not sticky. Honey is a main ingredient here, but the stuff isn't sticky at all, in case you were wondering

Manuka Honey + Rosehip Tallow 2oz Body Butter - Deeply Nourishing & Repairing Natural SkincareOverall, I quite like the effect of this cream, but I really wish it had a nice scent. I was hoping for a hint of honey or rosehips. When I first opened the jar, it had only the barest detectable whiff of honey or rosehips over what I can only describe as a strong "cooked" smell. Happily, that cooked smell quickly dissipated and became neutral after opening and using it for a while,  which is good news, because I was very unhappy with the smell both in the jar and on my skin when I first opened it. I also initially found it way too greasy, but it turned out I was just using way too much. I'm glad I tried it again, because after several uses, that odor no longer detectable, even in the jar (unfortunately, the faint scent of honey is also gone). Since then, between the cooked smell diminishing and realizing how little you need to use, now I really like it overallFor me, the size of a small pea is the perfect amount for dry hands--if you try to use even half your usual hand cream amount, it will be far too much and make your hands terribly greasy. If you think of it more as the way you would apply an ointment than a lotion or cream, that's about right. If you use a scant amount, your hands (or wherever) will feel exceedingly soft and silky and not at all greasy. It's great on winter hands, calloused feet, even lips and eyes. So from an emollient point of view, it's excellent. If it had a pleasing scent, I'd be totally delighted. I was also initially put off a bit by the price--until I realized that only the little jar has a high price per ounce, and the big jar's a great value (less than 3 bucks an ounce at the current price, vs the 9 bucks/ounce for the wee jar), especially considering how little you need.

I really like this Manuka Honey + Rosehip Tallow Body Butter. The texture is super creamy without feeling heavy on my skin. It absorbs quickly, which is a big plus for me since I don’t like the greasy feel some body butters have. The scent is great, it's light and natural, not overpowering at all. I love that it’s made with ingredients I can actually recognize, like manuka honey and rosehip. It moisturizes so well and leaves a nice glow to the skin. I wish the container were larger because I love it so much. I also appreciate that it’s a natural product; it gives me peace of mind knowing I'm putting something good on my skin.

Ever since moving to Texas, my skin has taken a bit of a beating. I use a wonderful serum for my face, but the rest of my exposed skin, aside from the occasional application of a body lotion, had to just get by.But I saw this, and I was intrigued. Why? Because when Dan had a bad case of warfarin necrosis, with the resultant scabs, the wound care doctor recommended menuka honey as the best treatment. I had never heard of it, but at that point we were willing to try anything. And over the course of time, it worked. It worked better than any manufactured medicine out there. Slowly but surely the menuka honey (which comes from Australia) healed skin I didn't think was heal-able.So when I saw someone had combined tallow with this honey, I jumped at it. I have been using it for a couple of weeks, now, and I can state with certainty it is working. My elbows are losing the scaling; and my hands and forearms are looking younger and healthier every single day.I recommend this without reservation.

When compared to other scents I have of this maker's tallow, this one is VERY lightly scented, so it may be appealing to those that don't like to have strong smells. Consistent with their other products I've tried, this product is smooth and easy to rub in. It absorbs quickly and leaves your skin soft and smooth, not greasy. I have also used some of their whipped tallow in the past along with plain tallow of other brands - I am very pleased with the texture of this product, it isn't fluffy like their whipped tallow but it is still airy and light to the touch.I love these products because they're all natural and excellent for those of us with skin problems like dry skin or sensitivity. The manuka honey in this mix also adds healing and antibacterial properties.This product would make for a great gift.

Manuka Honey + Rosehip Tallow 2oz Body Butter:OH WOW. I am thoroughly impressed... this stuff is amazing!I have never tried tallow before and it feels luxurious and it moisturizes my skin instantly. I love it!This came packaged very securely and with a seal on the box so you know if has been tampered with. The body butter comes in a clear durable glass jar and has a metal screw on lid.The Tallow itself is white and has a very nice smooth creamy buttery texture. It does have that airy whipped feel when you put it on and you literally only need a tiny bit, because it goes a long way. It's lightweight, goes on smoothy and absorbs quickly. It doesn't leave any residue and it doesn't give you that greasy, slimy feeling that some butter lotions do. I prefer my lotions to have a little smell to them but I personally could not smell any type of scent, which I didn't mind at all.I love that it has all natural ingredients and it contains vitamins that are so beneficial for your skin, especially as you age. It's also wonderful that you can use this everyday and anywhere on your skin - I love it on my face the most.This body butter is truly amazing and so worth it!

I love using beef tallow creams and butters, so when I saw Lady May Manuka Honey + Rosehip Tallow, I had to try it. I have used Lady May products before, and they are usually very nice quality. However, this tallow has to be my favorite. It is super whipped and light, and has only a few ingredients (honey, vitamin E, reship oil, and beef tallow). It is very easy to spread on my skin, and a little goes a long way. The butter absorbs very fast and leaves my skin moisturized and soft, without being greasy. My skin feels soft and silky for several hours. I apply the cream twice a day, and it keeps my hands from drying during cold winter months. I also like that Lady May Manuka Honey and Rosehip tallow does not have any real smell. It is especially important for people that have very sensitive skin, like my son. Another thing that I loved about this tallow (as well as bout all of Lady May products that I've tried) is that it comes in a glass jar with no plastic at all. The only thing that I did not like is the price - $ 25.00 for 2 0z. Even though this body butter is very economical and will last some time, $ 25.00 per 2 oz. is rather steep. If you like this Manuka Honey and Rosehip tallow, buy the 9.00 oz jar at $ 35.00. This is a more practical choice.

This Manuka Honey + Rosehip Tallow Body Butter was a little different from what I expected, but in a good way. The first thing I noticed was the color — it’s surprisingly white. I expected a slight yellow tint from the ingredients, but the butter is a clean, pure white.Although it’s labeled as whipped body butter, the texture is a bit more solid and stiff than many other whipped body butters I’ve used. That said, it still applies very easily and feels smooth on the skin without dragging. Once applied, it absorbs quickly and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day without feeling greasy.Another thing I appreciate is that it’s completely scent-free. It doesn’t have any noticeable smell, which makes it great for sensitive skin or for people who prefer fragrance-free skincare products.Overall, this is a body butter I would definitely recommend. I've used quite a few Lady May products, most are rated very highly, this one is almost as good but not quite as good as the others I've tried. Overall, it's a good product, just not my favorite from their lineup in terms of product and value.The texture is very "whipped" like, lightweight and smooth. It's easy to apply, basically melting and absorbing into the skin on contact. The moisturizing effect is solid and lasts a good amount of time and you really only need a small amount per application. I didn't feel it was very greasy either.The scent is subtle, almost a little too light, it's pleasant but a little faint. I just expected a little more scent, but some may prefer this, however. My biggest hesitation is the value, the 2oz is quite small even though a little goes a long way. Their products are premium, but this one didn't deliver as good as a value at this size/price.

This Manuka honey tallow is fantastic! I've been using various tallow products for a while now. What sets this one apart from the others is that it does not have that typical tallow scent that can be less than appealing. This product has virtually no scent at all, which I like. It seems to be slightly whipped, as it is light and slightly fluffy once you take some out of the jar. it rubs on easily. Like most tallow products, it leaves a little greasy feeling temporarily, but this one does absorb much quicker than some of the other tallows I've used, and leaves no residue once fully absorbed. Love this product, and would order again!

This went on nice and smooth. And though I thought I was being conservative I still ended up having plenty of this body butter to smooth up my legs a bit. A little--like less than a blueberry-sized dollop--really goes a very long way!I live at altitude in a very dry part of Idaho. Skin gets dried out *fast* here, so this is a really nice product to discover. I haven't tried tallow before, though I know people who have. And I see why they swear by it.I found the smell hard to define... it's slightly floral and reminds me of the Christmas decoration trunk my parents have with a melted candle or two in there. It definitely does *not* smell like animal fat or meat, which I was nervous about.I think it's priced fairly for what it is. I do wish the scent was just a little more floral..like either stronger rosehip oil or honey.

This body butter leaves my skin moisturized and soft and yet not greasy. Works well from my dry skin living in a dry desert climate. Wish the container was not glass though. Always worried about dropping things or knocking off the counter and they break. Also don’t like taking glass when traveling.

This body butter is very soft and moisturizing on the skin. I like the subtle fragrance is has and that it has manuka honey in it which helps with scars. The texture is soft and silky and a little goes a long way so this is very good value for the money.

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. It moisturizes better than any other product I tried, and I’ve tried them all. I love the inclusion of Manuka honey for its soothing properties. There is little to no fragrance and it definitely does not smell “beefy”. Lady May can’t get the 9oz jar back in stock quickly enough as the value is exceptional. Please restock soon!
