Description

Hibiscus Lip Stain

Hibiscus Lip Stain is a glossy tinted liquid lip color that speaks of simple luxury and plant-forward elegance. 100% plant-based and free from clays and mica, it arrives in your choice of a mini 4ml glass vial or original 8ml glass vial, each paired with a reusable bamboo wand. The formula blends GMO-free coconut with grapeseed or palm-derived glycerine and hibiscus flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) for a natural, buildable tint. Handmade by me with certified organic ingredients, local components, soy-free, all natural, vegan, cruelty-free, and thoughtfully eco-packaged for a mindful beauty routine.

Craft, provenance, and materials

More than a shade, Hibiscus Lip Stain carries provenance and craft. Its clear glass vessel and wand-based application reflect a timeless approach to color, while the absence of a rubber stopper at the top speaks to streamlined usability. Designed for everyday elegance or dressier moments, this lip stain invites you to cultivate your own signature gloss without compromising ethics or the planet.

  • Two size options: mini 4ml and 8ml glass vials, with a reusable bamboo wand.
  • Plant-based, all-natural formula: GMO-free coconut, vegetable glycerine (grapeseed/palm derived), hibiscus flowers; certified organic ingredients.
  • Vegan, cruelty-free, soy-free.
  • Eco-friendly packaging and mindful shipping.
  • No rubber stopper insert on the glass vial top for streamlined use.
How to use

Add coats and let dry in between for more color. Can be experimented with to be used as a cheek stain. Has a fun sweet tart taste from the two ingredients. Hibiscus Lip Stain is more on the glossy/liquid side in application (best to have an open mind about plant based makeup). It leaves a glossy slightly purple tinted lip. It's OK if you eat it by accident! Store in fridge for longest shelf life. For sensitive skin, try a tiny bit at first to see if skin agrees with formulation. Have fun and get ready to fall in love.

Ingredients

gmo-free coconut, grapeseed or palm derived vegetable glycerine (Glycine max), hibiscus flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa) + love. (all purveyed certified organic ingredients)

What Makes plant makeup Special

to my american goods®

Plant Makeup is one of those brands that feels impossible to separate from the maker behind it. Created by OrangePeelMystic, the brand grew from a lifelong connection with plants, herbalism, art, and natural color. Her journey began in 2004 in a medicinal herb greenhouse, evolved into herbal teas around 2006, moved onto Etsy in 2008, and eventually became Plant Makeup — a full world of botanical beauty, art, music, photography, and handmade product design.

What makes Plant Makeup especially aligned with My American Goods® is how deeply handmade it is. OrangePeelMystic formulates the products herself, creates the label art, and builds the visual universe around the brand. The products are made in small batches using local and/or organic, GMO-free, sustainably sourced ingredients whenever possible, with many ingredients grown from her own garden sanctuary and potted micro farm.

This is not beauty built by committee or manufactured to follow a trend. It is plant-based beauty as personal art — imperfect in the best way, expressive, natural, and rooted in years of experimentation with flowers, roots, berries, herbs, and plant dyes.

That’s exactly why it fits My American Goods®: real maker energy, small-batch craftsmanship, natural ingredients, and a beauty brand with a point of view that could never come from mass production.

plant makeup FAQs

What is Plant Makeup known for?

Plant Makeup is known for plant-pigmented makeup, ultra-natural skincare, botanical hair care, and natural fragrance, all handmade in small batches by the founder.

Who makes Plant Makeup?

Plant Makeup is made by OrangePeelMystic, an artist and longtime plant-based maker who says she creates the products, label art, photos, videos, and much of the brand world herself.

How is plant-pigmented makeup different from conventional makeup?

Plant pigments tend to apply lighter and softer than synthetic dyes or oxide-based colors, giving a more natural wash of color instead of bold, dramatic coverage.

Are Plant Makeup products cruelty free?

Yes — Plant Makeup states that its products are cruelty free and never tested on animals.

Are all products vegan?

Not all products are vegan because some formulas use locally sourced beeswax, but Plant Makeup also offers many vegan alternatives made with plant waxes or no waxes.

Why do some products have texture or natural variation?

Because many formulas are made with real plants, some products may contain tiny plant particles or natural texture. Plant Makeup explains this as part of working with minimally processed botanical ingredients.
