Description
Alfalfa Microgreen Seeds: Fresh Microgreens from Seed
Alfalfa Microgreen Seeds — Alfalfa microgreens are the mild, versatile workhorse of the microgreens world — their delicate, grassy flavor and wispy, lacy texture make them the perfect neutral backdrop for any dish, adding a fresh, clean taste without overpowering other ingredients. Not to be confused with sprouts, alfalfa microgreens are grown in trays with soil and develop genuine cotyledon leaves, making them more nutritionally complete.
Fresh Flavor, Grown at Home
A superb sandwich stuffer, salad topper, and bowl garnish beloved for its mild, universally crowd-pleasing flavor. Grow in trays using coconut coir — alfalfa seeds are very small and best broadcast evenly across the tray surface. Keep consistently misted until germination, then ensure good airflow to prevent damping off.
Fast, Compact Growing for the Kitchen
Microgreens offer a compact way to grow fresh greens at home, with a short seed-to-harvest cycle and flavor that can be used across everyday meals.
Seeds only: fresh produce is not included.
How to use
Grow method: Tray growing with coconut coir; mist frequently. Seed amount per tray: ½–¾ oz per 10"×20" tray (seeds are very small). Expect germination in 2–3 days. Harvest in 8–12 days.
