Ayurveda-Inspired Chocolate, Handcrafted in New Jersey

Discover Elements Truffles, a New Jersey chocolate company creating organic dark chocolate bars, drinking chocolate, cacao, protein powders, snack bars, and gift collections inspired by the principles and ingredients of Ayurveda.

Founded by Alak Vasa and Kushal Choksi, Elements began after the former Wall Street professionals started experimenting with chocolate at home. Alak combined her interest in meditation and wellness with ingredients such as turmeric, rose, cardamom, ashwagandha, and cacao, while Kushal became the unofficial taste tester.

Today, Elements makes its products in its own commercial kitchen in Union City, New Jersey, using ethically sourced cacao and simple ingredient lists. Current chocolate bars include flavors such as Rose Cardamom, Raspberry, Sea Salt, Almond Crunch, Orange Crunch, Coffee, Peppermint, and Maple Toffee.

It’s small-batch American chocolate bringing Ayurvedic inspiration into something genuinely enjoyable to eat.

Elements Truffles FAQs: Chocolate, Ayurveda & New Jersey Craftsmanship

Who founded Elements Truffles?

Elements was founded by Alak Vasa and Kushal Choksi, both of whom previously worked in finance. Alak was an algorithmic trader at Goldman Sachs, while Kushal held roles at Goldman Sachs and BlackRock before moving into entrepreneurship.

Where are Elements products made?

Elements says its products are made in the company’s own commercial kitchen in Union City, New Jersey, where it works in small batches.

What makes Elements chocolate different?

The brand combines dark chocolate with Ayurvedic herbs, spices, botanicals, and other whole-food ingredients, while avoiding ingredients such as soy lecithin and refined cane sugar in its core chocolate collection.

Where does the cacao come from?

Elements sources cacao from small farms and cooperatives in Ecuador, while other ingredients come from regions associated with their cultivation, including turmeric from India and lavender from France.

Are Elements products vegan?

Many are, but this should be confirmed by product. Current chocolate-bar listings identify bars such as Raspberry as vegan and sweetened with organic coconut sugar, while the brand’s FAQ still contains older language referring to honey in some chocolate formulas. MAG should use the ingredient list and dietary attributes of each current SKU rather than applying a blanket vegan badge.

Does Elements give back?

Yes. Elements says it has committed 25% of its profits to education for underserved children, working with educational initiatives serving children in rural, tribal, and economically disadvantaged communities in India.
