WishGarden began in Boulder, Colorado in 1979, when a midwife started crafting herbal preparations for other midwives and the families they served. In 1987, herbalist, activist, and childbirth educator Catherine Hunziker acquired the young company and transformed it into the nationally distributed herbal brand it is today. Catherine remains deeply involved as Chief Formulator, while the next generation of her family helps carry the business forward.

Today, WishGarden makes its tinctures, oils, and salves in its own facility in Louisville, Colorado, which is NSF GMP and USDA Organic certified. The company prioritizes organic herbs where possible and works with regenerative farms, forest farmers, FairWild partners, family farms, and ethical wildcrafters.
