Collection: Dulce de Donke

Farm-Crafted Donkey Milk Skincare, Made in Oklahoma

Discover Dulce de Donké, a family-run Oklahoma farm creating small-batch donkey milk soaps, facial moisturizer, deodorant, and multipurpose body and hair care from its own Oklahoma Donkey Dairy.

The story began in 2014 with Walt and Saundra Traywick, after their six-year-old daughter developed PANDAS following a strep infection. Their search for options ultimately introduced the family to donkey milk—and then to raising their own herd of American Mammoth Donkeys in Luther, Oklahoma.

Today, milk from the farm’s donkeys goes into limited-batch soaps and moisturizer made on the property. The collection pairs fresh donkey milk with ingredients such as organic olive and coconut oils, aloe, mango butter, rosehip oil, honey, botanicals, clays, and essential oils, depending on the formula.

This isn’t donkey milk added to an outsourced skincare formula.

It’s farm-crafted skincare made by the Oklahoma family raising the donkeys behind it.

Dulce de Donké FAQs: Donkey Milk Skincare, Farm Life & Small-Batch Care

Who is behind Dulce de Donké?

Dulce de Donké is run by Walt and Saundra Traywick and their family in Luther, Oklahoma. Their journey into donkey farming began in 2014 after their daughter became seriously ill and the family’s search introduced them to donkey milk.

Where are Dulce de Donké skincare products made?

The brand’s signature donkey milk soaps and moisturizer are handcrafted in small batches at the family’s Oklahoma Donkey Dairy in Luther, Oklahoma.

Does Dulce de Donké use milk from its own donkeys?

Yes. The moisturizer and donkey milk soaps use fresh milk produced by the family’s own Oklahoma herd. Because supply depends on the donkeys and their foals, availability can be limited and some products are offered by preorder.

What kinds of skincare does Dulce de Donké make?

The core collection includes donkey milk bar soaps, facial soap, face moisturizer, natural deodorant, and multipurpose balms for skin, beard, and hair.

Why can the moisturizer sell out or require preorder?

Donkeys naturally produce a very limited amount of milk, and Dulce de Donké makes its moisturizer in small batches using milk from its own farm. The brand says each batch is made fresh and marked with its creation and best-by dates.

Does every Dulce de Donké product contain donkey milk?

No. The signature soaps and moisturizer do, but some products do not. For example, the Calm Balm contains no donkey milk and instead uses botanical oils, beeswax, glycerin, and essential oils. Ingredients should be reviewed by individual product.
