Collection: Clay House Candles

Playful Candles, Hand-Poured in Austin, Texas

Discover Clay House Candles, an Austin candle studio creating hand-poured candles and wax melts designed to look almost as memorable as they smell.

Founder Tai Clay, a former pastry chef, started the company in 2021 after losing her culinary job during the pandemic. Candle making gave her a new creative outlet, and her pastry background translated surprisingly well: precise recipes, careful measurements, and a willingness to experiment with presentation. She began making candles from an extra bedroom in Austin and built Clay House around the idea of creating products people hadn’t seen before. Voyage Austin

Today, every candle is made in small batches in Austin using a proprietary soy-and-paraffin wax blend and premium fragrance oils. The collection moves from florals and woods to highly recognizable gourmand scents like Cereal Milk, Matcha Milk, Coffee Date, Brown Sugar Boba, and Apple Pie, often with decorative wax details that make the candle itself part of the experience.

This isn’t another minimal beige candle.

It’s Texas-made home fragrance with humor, nostalgia, and a lot of personality.
