Butterface

Tallow Lip Care, Made With Less

Discover Butterface, a Massachusetts-based beauty brand creating tallow-based lip care with minimal ingredients and plastic-free packaging.

Founded by Emily Bell, Butterface began after she took a closer look at the ingredient list on the peppermint lip balm she had used for years. That curiosity led her toward simpler formulas built around traditional ingredients instead of long, difficult-to-decipher lists.

The brand’s signature Peppermint Tallow Butter Lip Balm combines grass-fed beef tallow, organic beeswax, golden jojoba oil, lanolin, peppermint oil, and vitamin E in a 100% plastic-free biodegradable tube.

Butterface keeps the idea refreshingly simple: fewer ingredients, rich moisture, and lip care without the plastic tube.
