    Blue Hydrating Mask

Restore comfort to dry, depleted-looking skin with an overnight moisture treatment. IOKA Blue Hydrating Mask combines ceramides, hyaluronic acid, aloe, marula and meadowfoam oils, rose extract, peptides, and methylene blue.

    Why You’ll Love It

    • Deep moisture support: Shea butter, aloe, marula oil, meadowfoam oil, and humectants replenish dry-feeling skin.
    • Three-ceramide complex: Ceramides NP, AP, and EOP join cholesterol and phytosphingosine for barrier-focused care.
    • Peptide-enhanced formula: Acetyl hexapeptide-8 complements a smoother-looking complexion.
    • Distinctive blue antioxidant: Methylene blue gives this advanced mask its signature identity.

    Overnight or Rinse-Off

Use it as an overnight hydration mask or follow the shorter rinse-off method recommended for your skin type.

    How to use

Apply a thin layer over freshly cleansed and toned face and neck. Leave overnight and rinse with lukewarm water in the morning. For combination or oily skin, use as a 15-minute rinse-off mask. Avoid staining light fabrics.

    What Makes IOKA Skin+Science Special

    to my american goods®

IOKA Skin+Science was created by Olga Goldberger, a molecular biologist who grew up watching the women in her family care for their skin with simple ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, honey, and milk-based preparations. Years later, after building a scientific career and experiencing her own persistent dryness, irritation, and rosacea, Olga began looking more closely at why even expensive skincare formulas were not working for her.

Her research led her to question the conventional emulsifiers used throughout the beauty industry. When she could not find a formula that met her standards, she created her own, replacing conventional emulsifiers with naturally derived phospholipids that form liposomes and help deliver selected ingredients while respecting the skin’s natural barrier.

Today, Olga continues to formulate IOKA’s products with the same combination of scientific precision, botanical knowledge, and personal care that inspired the brand from the beginning. Each formula is made by hand in small batches in Boston, with an emphasis on gentle ingredients, thoughtful formulation, and long-term skin resilience.

That is exactly why IOKA belongs at My American Goods®: a female-founded Massachusetts maker, genuine scientific expertise, hands-on American production, and skincare created from a real desire to make sensitive skin care better.

    IOKA Skin+Science FAQs

    What makes IOKA Skin+Science different?

IOKA combines botanical skincare with liposomal delivery technology developed by a molecular biologist. Rather than using conventional chemical emulsifiers, the formulas rely on naturally derived phospholipids designed to work compatibly with the skin barrier.

    What is liposomal skincare?

Liposomes are microscopic carriers made from phospholipids similar to those found in cell membranes. IOKA uses them to encapsulate and protect selected active ingredients, helping distribute them efficiently while maintaining a gentle, barrier-conscious formula.

    Who founded IOKA Skin+Science?

IOKA was founded by Olga Goldberger, a molecular biologist whose career has included work connected with institutions such as Harvard Medical School and Brown University. She created the brand after her own experience with dryness, irritation, and reactive skin led her to question conventional emulsifier-heavy skincare.

    Where are IOKA products made?

IOKA products are handcrafted in small batches in Boston, Massachusetts.

    What ingredients does IOKA avoid?

The brand states that its formulas are made without sulfates, parabens, added fragrance, conventional chemical emulsifiers, synthetic dyes, mineral oil, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, and PEGs. Customers should still review each individual ingredient list before use.

IOKA formulates its collection with sensitive and reactive skin in mind, using barrier-focused ingredients and avoiding many common irritants. Individual needs vary, so customers with known sensitivities should review the full ingredient list and patch test a new product before regular use.

Are IOKA products suitable for sensitive skin?
