    Keep the item and all packaging until the claim is resolved. Claims submitted after 7 days may be denied.

    Who pays return shipping?

    Unless we confirm that an item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect, the customer is responsible for return shipping.

    • If we provide a prepaid label, its cost may be deducted from the refund.
    • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

    Who founded Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve?

    Ida Friedman began making soap in 2001 while working as a middle school science teacher. Her husband, Howard, built her first wooden soap mold, and what began as a kitchen hobby gradually became the family business known today as Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve.
    Where are Chagrin Valley products made?

    Chagrin Valley says all of its products are made in its own Cleveland-area Ohio soap shop, with recipes developed, tested, and produced internally rather than outsourced.
    Are all Chagrin Valley products USDA Certified Organic?

    Chagrin Valley is a USDA Certified Organic company, but certification varies by product. Many non-soap products qualify for the USDA Organic seal, while soaps and shampoo bars generally contain 85–92% organic ingredients and are certified “Made with Organic Ingredients” by OEFFA because lye prevents them from meeting the USDA’s 95% threshold.
    Is Chagrin Valley cruelty-free?

    Yes. Chagrin Valley’s natural soap, shampoo bars, and personal care products are Leaping Bunny Certified Cruelty-Free.
