Cheese Brothers – Adelheid Alpine-Style Cheese

Adelheid is Cheese Brothers’ take on a classic alpine-style cheese—smooth, rich, and naturally nutty. Crafted in Stanley, Wisconsin and aged 2–12 months, it offers a comforting depth of flavor that shines whether sliced, melted, or served on a board. Its warm, savory character makes it a perfect choice for cool-weather dishes or everyday cooking.

This cheese is also available in a smoked variety, cold-smoked with hickory and applewood at the Barron smokehouse for added depth and aroma.

Melt it into fondue, layer it into grilled cheese, stir it into mac and cheese, or feature it alongside meats and crackers. Adelheid brings alpine richness to every plate.

    FAQs

Are your cheeses made with family-farm milk and traditional methods?

Yes. Cheese Brothers sources milk from family farms in Wisconsin and uses time-honored cheesemaking techniques—plus natural seasonings, no artificial processing.

How should I store the cheese when it arrives?

Upon arrival, refrigerate the cheese immediately. Although vacuum-sealed blocks can arrive warm or at room temperature, it’s normal—and safe—but they’re best enjoyed when kept in the fridge.

Do you ship nationwide and how are the cheeses packaged for shipping?

Yes—they ship across all 50 states from Wisconsin. Because these are perishable items, Cheese Brothers uses insulated packaging with gel ice packs if destination temperatures exceed 60 °F, often at no extra charge.

Are all your cheeses vegetarian and gluten-free?

Most hard cheeses are vegetarian (made with vegetable rennet) and gluten‐free. Some flavored varieties (e.g., those with bacon, or cheeses using ale) may not be vegetarian or fully gluten‐free—so check the ingredients for each product.

How does shipping handle temperature/safety concerns?

Cheese Brothers uses vacuum-sealed packaging and monitors transit conditions. If delivery region temperatures are above 60°F, they ship using insulated boxes with gel ice packs at no extra cost, protecting quality in transit.
